CSEE TRANSPORT, a subsidiary of ANSALDO Signal, has placed an order with FAIVELEY TRANSPORT for around 700 security odo-tachmetry computers. These export contracts, won almost simultaneously by CSEE TRANSPORT, are for important projects in China and India.

 

Around 350 of our computers will be used for the Chinese ATP200 project, to equip around 50 ALSTOM and KAWASAKI built vehicles. The project involves deploying the CTCS, the Chinese adaptation of the famous European ERTMS/ETCS signalling standard, on classical lines where rolling stock runs under 250 km/h and on the Qinshen line, which is dedicated to passenger transport.

 

The remaining 350 computers will be used for 2 Indian projects known as TPWS, designed to equip the vehicles of the ‘Southern’ and ‘Northern & North Central’ sectors (between Delhi and Agra). This ‘Indian Railways’ project was largely inspired by the ERTMS/ETCS Level 1.

 

This important order confirms FAIVELEY TRANSPORT’s know-how in ‘security electronics’. FAIVELEY TRANSPORT is a company that already masters the SIL2 and SIL4 levels, essential for signalling products.

 

CSEE TRANSPORT and FAIVELEY TRANSPORT perfectly fulfilled the requirement of the two customers in terms of economic performance and security for passengers, which places them both in a good position to play a major role in the future deployment of this system in India and China and Asia in general.
