 New PSD contracts in Asia for Faiveley Transpot |
- An uninterrupted market success over the last half a year with major new contracts in Asia and China has
- allowed Faiveley to solidify its undisputed role as the No. 1 PSD player worldwide.
Whether as Maincontractor or as Consortium partner, Faiveley Transport has signed up several significant
- contracts over the last 6 months period:
Bangkok Airport Rail Link
The new Bangkok Airport Rail Link and City Air Terminal in Bangkok, a contract signed at the beginning of
- 2006, will allow those traveling to and from the new Bangkok Airport, to enjoy the comfort and elegance
- of Faiveley PSD. It is the second and third major success for PSD in Bangkok as exclusive Maincontractor
- after the Blue Line Metro opening in 2005. With this new success we can proudly say all PSDs in the Thai
- capital are from Faiveley.
It is also the 3rd straight success for Faiveley as provider of dedicated PSDs for Airport Express Trains
- after Hong Kong in 1997 and Kuala Lumpur in 2002.
Guangzhou (Canton) Metro Line No. 1 & 5
The Retrofit with Automatic Platform Gates contract was finalized at the beginning of the year. It is the
- second contract for Faiveley on Guangzhou Line No. 1 retrofit, the former one consisting in the provision
- of classical full height PSD core components; it is the 3rd contract for Faiveley PSD in Guangzhou as
- consortium partner as we are currently providing the PSD core technology and related installation and
testing and commissioning for Guangzhou Line No. 3.
Faiveley has signed another contract for the Guangzhou Metro again, yet this time as exclusive
- Maincontractor, a premiere for Faiveley in Guangzhou, in order to provide all classical Platform Screen Doors
- and the socalled Automatic Platform Gates for the new metro line Guangzhou Line No. 5.
Tianjin Metro
This is our first success in Northern China and a very meaningful one. Signed in May this year, it is our very first contract as exclusive Maincontractor in China for the complete provision of Design, Manufacturing, Installation and Testing & Commissioning of classical, full height PSD to the Metro Corporation of Binhai, a special economic development zone of one the largest cities in China, Tianjin.
Shanghai Line No. 8 and 6
After past success, a new contract has been signed where Faiveley as consortium partner shall
- provide as in the past, the core PSD systems, for Shanghai Line No. 8.
Faiveley has also secured as a consortium member with its Shanghai partner, its 4th Shanghai
- contract, this time for Line No. 6. Faiveley shall provide the very core PSD components to ensure
- the millions of commuters in this fascinating, relentlessly growing economic capital of Mainland
- China shall continue benefiting from the reliability and comfort of Faiveley PSD technology.
Beijing Line No. 10
This July 2006 we have been awarded as a consortium partner the prestigious contract for the
- provision of PSD for Beijing Line No. 10, a Metro line foreseen to become a vital transport link in
- the Chinese capital for the millions of visitors and commuters alike during the upcoming Olympic
- Summer gams in 2008. Faiveley shall not only provide the design and the supply of PSD core
- components, but will be responsible for the Maintenance over a period of 2 years which presents
- a premiere in Mainland China.
